Oxford University

A few students from year 10 were selected to go to Oxford University for the day.

We were split into 3 groups to take part in different activities throughout the day. The Red group learnt Russian, the Green group did a Science experiment and the others did a Politics quiz show in the style of QI. Then we went to have some lunch in the student canteen.
After this studious experience we went around the city of Oxford on a scavenger hunt, we were given a disposable camera and a list of things to photograph. For example, someone with a large beard, a bike parked in the most random place and the weird and wonderful hats of Oxford. Some of the more entertaining task involved seeing how many people we could fit in a red phone box, taking part in a 'flash mob' (this is where people start to dance in the middle of the street and get others to join them). Also Patrick's team played tanks with the students from the flash mob.
We hope to go on many more trips like this and it has given us all the incentive to work hard in order to get into university.
